To find the Christian missionaries accusing Muslims of exemplifying lying is totally amusing, to say the least, as the doctrine of taqiyyah is exclusively a Shi’ite doctrine which is held onto by a mere 8% – 10% out of the total 1.3 billion Muslim population around the world, the majority of whom are overwhelmingly Sunni.

A refutation of the doctrine of taqiyyah from the Sunni perspective is to be noted here.

Moreover, there is ample evidence from the hadith traditions which invariably negates the missionary claims that Islam permits lying. The Prophet Muhammad is quoted to have said: “Let he who truly believes in Allah and the Last Day speak good or be silent.” (Sahih al-Bukhari). Moreover, he has specifically cursed the person who lies to make people laugh, he said: “Woe be on one who speaks and lies in order to make people laugh, woe be on him.” (Abu Dawud). See also the traditions in Abu Dawud (5004)/Musnad Ahmad and Sahih al-Bukhari (vol. 8, no 118). All the missionaries can do to include orthodox Muslims in their allegations is their tendency to quote from The Reliance of the Traveler (Umdat as-Salik), an unofficial and sub-standard fiqh manual, specifically geared towards Egyptian society of Sufi persuasion and translated into English by an extremist heterodox Sufi.

Sayyid Sabiq’s Fiqh as-Sunnah is the authoritative orthodox source covering all four Sunni schools of thought and this work is available online. There is no ammunition for the bankrupt missionaries in such orthodox sources, so it is no wonder that they resort to heterodox material.

Nevertheless, we have decided to play their game, and would like to ask: “What about lying in Christianity?”

Paul of Tarsus Justifies Lying For Christ

The answer: it was Paul, the self-confessed “apostle” from Tarsus, who was the first person to rationalise his actions by holding that there was no link between the period in which Jesus(P) had lived and the period in which he himself now lived. Times were changing and conditions that prevailed were such that the ethics of Jesus(P) was out of date and could no longer be applied. It was with such a view that Paul took stock of the situation which existed then and taught what the Gentiles seem to require him to believe:

“All things are lawful unto me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.” (1 Corinthians 6:12)

During the ministry of Jesus(P), Saul (Paul) was a dedicated member of a powerful, exclusive Jewish sect called Pharisees (Acts 26:5). Their pretensions to sanctity had labeled them as hypocrites.

When these overbearing vain-glorious Jews confronted Jesus(P), he called them:

“You are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar and the father of it.” (John 8:44)

Saul, a zealous persecutor of the devoted disciples of Christ, became the first Christian missionary and an apostle to the Gentiles after converting himself to Christianity by a “vision”, which he claims he had, while on the road to Damascus. The missionary changed his name from Saul to Paul and became the biggest contributor to the Books of the New Testament.

From the above verse, Jesus(P) like many of his predecessors condemned lying, deceit and hypocrisy. Lying is condemned several times throughout the Bible, and deceit by its own nature is sinful and can only lead to hazardous consequences.

What does Peter say in regards to guileThe Greek word is “dolos”, which means “bait” or “snare”, “deceit is rendered” (W.E. Vine, Vine’s Expository Dictionary of Old & New Testament Words, Thomas Nelson Publishers (1997), under the word ‘GUILE’, p. 515). See also Strong’s #1388 which defines dolos as “craft, deceit, guile, subtility” (p. 34)?

“For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that speak no guile.” (1 Peter 3:12)

The verse speaks for itself. One of the factors that hinder man’s success in this world and eternal life in the hereafter, is the use of guile.

But on his own admittance, what does Paul say?

“But be it so, I did not burden you: nevertheless being crafty, I caught you with guile.” (2 Corinthians 12:16)

On his own admission, Paul is saying that he uses deception in his modus operandi. In all the new versions of the Bible, the more common term of “deceit” is replaced instead.

This statement is made long after his conversion to Christianity, in the phase when he supposed to be blessed and righteous, and most importantly of all, being guided by Christ.

Paul was a rejector of the Mosaic Law and the Jesus Ethic, but he also asserted that he was a law unto himself. Many people, obviously, could not accept this.

Thus Paul responded with:

“For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto His Glory; why yet I am also judged a sinner?” (Romans 3:7-8)

It can be ascertained from this statement that although Paul knew that he was lying, he felt that the means justified the end, but it is not understandable how the truth would abound through a lie. According to this reasoning, if the man Jesus was equated with God, then what objections could a follower of Jesus have?

Guile is certainly deception. Flattery is simply rather shameful. And they lend themselves nicely to each other. But deception — especially for the sake of proselytizing — was started by Paul and became the raison d’etre of those who laid the foundation of the European church.

Lying In Christianity: Final Notes

Thus, the missionaries of today seem to have no qualms in utilizing it. Deception is the name of the game, and this is obvious when the missionaries start substituting exclusively Muslim phrases such as insha’allah (God willing) for “Lord Jesus willing”, subhana Allah (Praise God) with “Praise Lord Jesus”, “Wa Allahu a’lam” (God knows best) with “Jesus knows best”, e.g. in their articles which openly berate Islam.

Another attempt at guile is the Christian missionary activity of “church-planting” in Muslim nations where they openly state their desire to convert Muslims “by hook or by crook”.

Perhaps the missionaries in their “pick-and-choose” religion had suffered from amnesia and forgotten the following:

“Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.” (Psalms 32:2)

    ?Jesus words never change
    (Matthew 24:35)

I’ll show you that he does change his words from the same book that you quoted above.

    matthew 5:14-16
14″You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. 15Neither do people light a lamp and PUT IT UNDER A BOWL. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives LIGHT to EVERYONE IN THE HOUSE. 16In the same way, let your light SHINE BEFORE MEN, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

The only way the light is going to shine is by doing what he condemns in
matthew 6:1-4 otherwise how else is the light going to shine? By putting it under a bowl?

1″Be careful not to do your ‘acts of righteousness’ before men, to BE SEEN BY THEM. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.
2″So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. 3But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

In these verses he wants to put the LIGHT UNDER THE bowl.

Jesus is the name of all names, To him every knee will bow and every tounge will confess, he is the light of all light, and that is something every muslim, jew ,hindu and athiest will one day confess (Judgement day). You should turn to him now while you still have a chance to be saved , for he loves you. I would love foryou to comment me back , thank you , Tomas Nona.

–If this god of yours is all love as you say and that he got spat at and tortured by Satan?s buddies and finally nailed to a cross then why would any Muslim, Jew, Hindu etc want to bow down before this god of yours? Isn?t love all about bowing down before your enemies? Why wouldn’t “love thy enemy” apply on judgement day?

    brother,

i think you have responded to the claims of our well-intentioned but misled catholic friend here.

let me add an example of the prophet’s mercy. the prophet was driven out of Taif, and the people there even ordered the children to throw stones at the Beloved Prophet. angel gabriel came to the Prophet with the angel of the mountains, saying that had the Beloved prophet wanted to, the angel would have crushed taif between the mountains. But the Beloved Prophet, instead of avenging himself, prayed to God that a devout generation rise from Taif. By the Grace of God, taif remains Muslim to this day. But in the bible, elisha summoned a bear to kill the children who were calling him baldhead.

Pagan rites in Islam? I have no problem if some of the rites in islam are apparently similar to pagan rites, it just mean that those rites were retained, because they are true portions of the religion of Abraham which survived with the arabs. God ordered the Prophet to leave out the pagan additions, and retain the abrahamic rites. what is paganistic is the belief in the god or son of god who became man, was tried, died, harrowed hell, and then rose up again to immortality. that is the core of paganism, the worship of baal, satan the accursed’s favorite lie and it was condemned by God.

Tomas, we love you too, but please, use the mind which God gave you, and use your heart. we muslims believe in the God of Mercy. if you come to Him walking, He will come to you running, and if you come to Him on a handspan’s length, He will come to you at the length of an arm’s width. were you to come to Him with sins equal to the whole world, He will meet you with forgiveness thereof, with no need for blood, unlike the demons who pretend to be gods, who need blood to feed on, kind of like how you think of God. peace, and may God Almighty grant you His Guidance.

Hello Tomas. I was reading through your response to brother Mohd’s article and felt I should offer my views. Besides not responding to the actual issue that the article was concerned with, you offered some bizarre reasons for not accepting Islam as the truth. InshaAllah, I will go through each of your arguments. So, let us begin.

    You said:
“Jesus is the Son of God
    (John 10:36)
    Mohammed was a man
    (Surah 18:110)”

No doubt, Muhammad (pbuh) was a man. We agree here. As for John 10:36, you do a rather poor job of quoting your own scripture. John 10:36 does not say that Jesus (pbuh) is the son of God (literally atleast). Here is what the relevant verses actually say:

“31Again the Jews picked up stones to stone him, 32but Jesus said to them, “I have shown you many great miracles from the Father. For which of these do you stone me?”

33″We are not stoning you for any of these,” replied the Jews, “but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God.”

34Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I have said you are gods'[e]? 35If he called them ‘gods,’ to whom the word of God came?and the Scripture cannot be broken? 36what about the one whom the Father set apart as his very own and sent into the world? Why then do you accuse me of blasphemy because I said, ‘I am God’s Son’?” (John 10:31-36

Notice that Jesus (pbuh) quotes Psalms 82:6 as his defense. Psalms 82:6 states:

    “6 “I said, ‘You are “gods”;
you are all sons of the Most High.’”

In this verse, God states that the prophets are all sons of God. So, the question is are all the prophets to be worshipped? Furthermore, in Luke 3:38, Adam (pbuh) is referred to as the son of God. Are we to worship him to? Just referring to someone as the son of God means that person is divine? Sounds a bit ridiculous to me (no offence).

    You said:
    “Jesus performed miracles
    (Mark 7:37)
    Mohammed Did not perform miracles
    (Surah 17:59)”

We agree that Jesus (pbuh) performed miracles. All prophets did. Your reference to Surah 17:59 is out of place. Here is what it states:

“And We refrain from sending the signs, only because the men of former generations treated them as false: We sent the she-camel to the Thamud to open their eyes, but they treated her wrongfully: We only send the Signs by way of terror (and warning from evil).” (The Holy Quran 17:59)

In this verse, God says that He does not send His signs to the unbelievers because those who came before rejected them. Instead, He sends His signs through His messengers, in this case Muhammad (pbuh). Contrary to what you claim, Muhammad (pbuh) did indeed perform miracles, many of which were unique and had never been performed before. For a concise list of some of his miracles, please the following:

    You said:
“Jesus knew what is inside people?s hearts
    (Revelation 2:23)
Mohammed did not know what is inside People?s hearts
    (Surah 11:31)”

Again, we agree that Muhammad (pbuh) did no know what is inside people’s hearts. What is your point? Does this prove that he was not a prophet? I don’t think so. As for Jesus (pbuh), the Bible clearly states that he did not know everything, hence he could not be God. See Mark 13:32:

“32”No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.”

In plain words, Jesus (pbuh) admits that he does not have infinite knowledge. Hence, he is not God.

    You said:
“Jesus is our advocate with the Father
    (1 John 2:1 & 2)
Mohammed is not our advocate with the Father
    (Surah 9:80)”

Surah 9:80 refers specifically to the hypocrites, and states that if Muhammad (pbuh) was to ask forgiveness for them, God would not forgive them because of their committing the sin of hypocrisy. No where does it state that Muhammad (pbuh) cannot ask forgiveness for the true believers. In fact, the Quran states that:

“”No intercession can avail in His Presence, except for those for whom He has granted permission. So far (is this the case) that, when terror is removed from their hearts (at the Day of Judgment, then) will they say, ‘what is it that your Lord commanded?’ they will say, ‘That which is true and just; and He is the Most High Most Great’.” (The Holy Quran 34:23)

Therefore, God states that intercession will only be accepted if He wills it or allows it. Having said that, let us look at some hadiths from Sahih Bukhari:

    Volume 1, Book 7, Number 331:

    “Narrated Jabir bin ‘Abdullah:

The Prophet said, “I have been given five things which were not given to any one else before me.

    1. Allah made me victorious by awe, (by His frightening my enemies) for a distance of one month’s journey.

    2. The earth has been made for me (and for my followers) a place for praying and a thing to perform Tayammum, therefore anyone of my followers can pray wherever the time of a prayer is due.

    3. The booty has been made Halal (lawful) for me yet it was not lawful for anyone else before me.

    4. I have been given the right of intercession (on the Day of Resurrection).

    5. Every Prophet used to be sent to his nation only but I have been sent to all mankind.”

    Volume 4, Book 55, Number 556:

    “Narrated Abu Huraira:

We were in the company of the Prophet at a banquet and a cooked (mutton) forearm was set before him, and he used to like it. He ate a morsel of it and said, “I will be the chief of all the people on the Day of Resurrection. Do you know how Allah will gather all the first and the last (people) in one level place where an observer will be able to see (all) of them and they will be able to hear the announcer, and the sun will come near to them. Some People will say: Don’t you see, in what condition you are and the state to which you have reached? Why don’t you look for a person who can intercede for you with your Lord? Some people will say: Appeal to your father, Adam.’ They will go to him and say: ‘O Adam! You are the father of all mankind, and Allah created you with His Own Hands, and ordered the angels to prostrate for you, and made you live in Paradise. Will you not intercede for us with your Lord? Don’t you see in what (miserable) state we are, and to what condition we have reached?’ On that Adam will reply, ‘My Lord is so angry as He has never been before and will never be in the future; (besides), He forbade me (to eat from) the tree, but I disobeyed (Him), (I am worried about) myself! Myself! Go to somebody else; go to Noah.’ They will go to Noah and say; ‘O Noah! You are the first amongst the messengers of Allah to the people of the earth, and Allah named you a thankful slave. Don’t you see in what a (miserable) state we are and to what condition we have reached? Will you not intercede for us with your Lord? Noah will reply: ‘Today my Lord has become so angry as he had never been before and will never be in the future Myself! Myself! Go to the Prophet (Muhammad). The people will come to me, and I will prostrate myself underneath Allah’s Throne. Then I will be addressed: ‘O Muhammad! Raise your head; intercede, for your intercession will be accepted, and ask (for anything). for you will be given. ”

It must be pointed out that Muhammad’s (pbuh) intercession is an honor bestowed on him by God and as a favor of God to the believers. The intercession will only apply to the true believers, not the hypocrites or unbelievers.

    You said:
“Jesus forbade His followers to use the sword
    (Matthew 26:52)
Mohammed urged his followers to use the sword
    (Surah 8:65)”

So just because Muhammad (pbuh) urged his followers to defend themselves, that makes him a false prophet? What kind of logic is this? Did not Moses (pbuh), David (pbuh), Solomon (pbuh) and Saul (pbuh) all use the sword to defend their people? Were they false prophets? Another question is did Muhammad (pbuh) kill women and children during the battles he lead, like Moses and the other prophets did in the Bible? You know which verses I am referring to. In addition, you quoted Surah 8:65, but overlooked (perhaps intentionally) Surah 8:61 which states:

“But if the enemy incline towards peace, do thou (also) incline towards peace, and trust in Allah: for He is One that heareth and knoweth (all things).” (The Holy Quran 8:61)

    You said:
    “Jesus taught forgiveness
    (Matthew 5:38,39)
    Mohammed taught revenge
    (Surah 2:194)”

Once again, you overlooked another important verse which would have cleared up any confusion. Surah 9:190 states:

“Fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for Allah loveth not transgressors.” (The Holy Quran 2:190)

So, this verse states that muslims are to fight only in defense and never in aggression. What is so wrong with this philosophy?

In addition, when Muhammad (pbuh) conquered Mecca, and returned to the city of his birth, he levelled no retaliation against the Meccans, who had done so many terrible things to him and his followers. At the head of a 10,000 strong army, Muhammad (pbuh) asked the cheifs of Mecca:

“What do you expect from me?”
    They replied “we expect mercy.”
    He answered “you have it.”

He forgave the people who had persecuted him and his followers, waged war against him and killed many of his followers and did not retaliate. What compassion and mercy! Had he wanted, he could have laid waste to Mecca and its people, like the Bible commanded the believers to do in Deuteronomy 3:3-7:

“3 So the LORD our God also gave into our hands Og king of Bashan and all his army. We struck them down, leaving no survivors. 4 At that time we took all his cities. There was not one of the sixty cities that we did not take from them?the whole region of Argob, Og’s kingdom in Bashan. 5 All these cities were fortified with high walls and with gates and bars, and there were also a great many unwalled villages. 6 We completely destroyed [a] them, as we had done with Sihon king of Heshbon, destroying [b] every city?men, women and children. 7 But all the livestock and the plunder from their cities we carried off for ourselves.”

    You said:
    “Jesus was sinless
    (1 Peter: 2:22)
    Mohammed was sinful
    (Surah 47:19)”

Well, the Bible claims that Jesus (pbuh) was tempted by the Devil. If he was sinless, then why would he be tempted and why would the Devil even try? Islam teaches that all the prophets, including Muhammad (pbuh) were protected from committing major sins, but they could still commite minor sins due to forgetfulness. These are the faults referred to in Surah 47:19.

    You said:
    “Jesus words never change
    (Matthew 24:35)
    The Quran words changed
    (Surah 16:101)”

If Jesus’ (pbuh) words never change, then why do some versions of the Bible contain verses that other Bibles don’t? Why does the NIV state that Mark 1:1 is not found in some early manuscripts? Why do most biblical scholars consider Mark 16:9-20 as forgeries which were not found in the earliest manuscripts? As for the Quran, we know that it has never changed. The words are today as they were when they were first revealed. Surah 16:101 states:

“When We substitute one revelation for another,- and Allah knows best what He reveals (in stages),- they say, “Thou art but a forger”: but most of them understand not.”

What this means is that when God abrogates previous revelations, which are still recorded in the Quran, He does it for a reason. Let me give you an example. The prohibition of alcohol was not done immediately. In fact, the Quran brought about a GRADUAL prohibition of alcohol, by urging the believers to give up alcohol, and once the problem was under control, the prohibition was final. Had the Quran issued an immediate prohibition of alcohol, without allowing a time period for rehabilitation, the results would have been devastating, much like the failed prohibition of alcohol in America.

    You said:
    “Jesus healed the blind man
    (Luke 18:35-43)
Mohammed turned away from the blind man
    (Surah 80:1-10)”

You need to understand the whole story before you judge the situation. The blind man who Muhammad (pbuh) turned away was already a muslim who was seeking to learn about the religion. At the time he went to see the prophet, Muhammad (pbuh) was trying to persuade another individual to accept Islam. Naturally, he was concentrating on guiding this individual and when the blind man came to him, he turned him away because he felt that helping the unbeliever to accept Islam was more important at the time. Now, it is important to note that God rebuked him for doing this. So, yes he did turn him away but not out of hatred or indifference.

    You said:
“Jesus called on people to come to Him
    (Matthew 11:28-30)
Mohammed was admonished because he sent people away
    (Surah 6:52)”

All Surah 6:52 is saying to Muhammad (pbuh) is don’t do these things. It is setting the guidelines, nothing more.

    You said:
    “Jesus taught monogamy
    (Matthew 19:5,6)
    Mohammed taught polygamy
    (Surah 4:3)”

Matthew 19 does not prohibit polygamy. Here is what the verses actually state:

” 4″Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,'[a] 5and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh'[b]? 6So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.”

The topic of the first part of Matthew 19 is divorce, not monogamy. So, the verses you mentioned are speaking about the dishonor of divorce. So, please bring forth a verse which actually prohibits polygamy. The verse must state “polygamy is not allowed.” Until you can bring a verse like this, you have not proven that the Bible prohibits polygamy. Let us also not forget that David and Solomon had multiple wives (Solomon is thought to have had 100s of wives) whereas Muhammad (pbuh) had around 10 or 11 in his lifetime, most of whom were old women or widows.

    You said:
“People were free to accept Jesus? message or reject it
    (Luke 10:10,11)
People were forced to accept Mohammed?s message
    (Surah 9:29)”

Let us actually read what verse 29 says:

“Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.” (The Holy Quran 9:29)

This verse commands the muslims to subdue the non-muslims living in an Islamic state who refuse to pay the jizya, which is a tax levied on non-muslims. Non-muslims living in an Islamic state have a choice: accept Islam or retain their own religion and pay a tax. Sounds fair, doesn’t it? In return for the payment of this tax, they are given the right to practice their religion, and are protected by the law. Even if an enemy army attacks the country, the non-muslims are not required to fight! They are exempted from military service. What do you find so offensive about this concept?

As for your “moon-god” claims, I will refer you to a nice article which refuted this nonsense:
    https://www.bismikaallahuma.org/index.php/articles/do-muslims-worship-the-moon-god

I would like you to actually bring evidence for your claims. Just saying that “Hubal was the moon-god” does not make it so. Please bring evidence, although I suspect that the “evidence” you bring will be from the works of people like Robert Morey, whose writings have been refuted already.

Now, since you like to claim that Islam is rooted in paganism (which it is not), let us see if the same claim can be made against Christianity:

Islam is your salvation my friend. You should accept it now before it is too late. Peace be upon you.

dear Mohd, i am a catholic from Iraq. I did not convert, I was born one.I do not believe what you say about Christianity saying that it is the “easy path and therefore you should not chose it”. Christianity may sound easy to a muslim , but it is not. It is not enough for a catholic to believe in Christ in order to go to heaven, you need to practise in prayer, love and the teachings of Jesus Christ, the only son of God. I ask you to please , do not look at america and christian fundumentalists
and think that all christians are like that. Real Christians do not hold hate towards muslims like America does. Christians look at terrorists and know that not all mslims are like that either. I live now in canada and a strong believer in my faith. I hold no hatred to muslims, but have many many reason why i am of my faith. do not think i am biased for being a catholic because my parents are; i have studied all main religions in the world and find Christianity to be the right one.

    (Revelation 2:23)
Mohammed did not know what is inside People’s hearts
    (Surah 11:31)
Jesus is our advocate with the Father
    (1 John 2:1 & 2)
Mohammed is not our advocate with the Father
    (Surah 9:80)
Jesus forbade His followers to use the sword
    (Matthew 26:52)
Mohammed urged his followers to use the sword
    (Surah 8:65)

    (Matthew 5:38,39)
    Mohammed taught revenge
    (Surah 2:194)
    Jesus was sinless
    (1 Peter: 2:22)
    Mohammed was sinful
    (Surah 47:19)

    (Matthew 24:35)
    The Quran words changed
    (Surah 16:101)
    Jesus healed the blind man
    (Luke 18:35-43)
Mohammed turned away from the blind man
    (Surah 80:1-10)
Jesus called on people to come to Him
    (Matthew 11:28-30)
Mohammed was admonished because he sent people away
    (Surah 6:52)
    Jesus taught monogamy
    (Matthew 19:5,6)
    Mohammed taught polygamy
    (Surah 4:3)
People were free to accept Jesus’ message or reject it
    (Luke 10:10,11)
People were forced to accept Mohammed’s message
    (Surah 9:29)

there is also the fact that when meccans worshipped many gods before islam came, Mohammeds family worshipped the moon god, a moon god named hubal. In Mecca, there was a god named Hubal who was Lord of the Kabah.
This Hubal was a moon god.
One Muslim apologist confessed that the idol of moon god Hubal was placed upon the roof of the Kaba about 400 years before Muhammad. This may in fact be the origin of why the crescent moon is on top of every minaret at the Kaba today and the central symbol of Islam a
top of every mosque throughout the world. Please believe me when i say i am not making this up.
    # The moon god was also referred to as “al-ilah”. This is not a proper name of a single specific god, but a generic reference meaning “the god”. Each local pagan Arab tribe would refer to their own local tribal pagan god as “al-ilah”.
“al-ilah” was later shortened to Allah before Muhammad began promoting his new religion in 610 AD.
There is evidence that Hubal was referred to as “Allah”.
When Muhammad came along, he dropped all references to the name “Hubal” but retained the generic “Allah”.
Muhammad retained almost all the pagan rituals of the Arabs at the Kaba and redefined them in monotheistic terms.
Regardless of the specifics of the facts, it is clear that Islam is derived from paganism that once worshiped a moon-god.
Although Islam is today a monotheist religion, its roots are in paganism.

So there , what have written to you is evidence and one of the many many reason why i believe islam is false. But there is a God, one who loves all muslims people, he is the one true God, the father of our savior Jesus Chris,
