A Critical Philological Reassessment of a Modern Anti-Islam Polemic](https://bismikaallahuma.org/polemical-rebuttals/al-zutt-riding-allegation/): This study dismantles the al-zuṭṭ hadith polemic through close reading, lexicography, and narrative control. By restoring context to yarkabūn, examining transmission variants, and comparing Semitic parallels, it shows how innuendo translation exploits polysemy, suppresses closure, and manufactures scandal without historical warrant within disciplined philology and sober methodological limits alone here - [State of Flux: Contested Doctrines in Early Christianity](https://bismikaallahuma.org/christianity/state-of-flux/): Early Christianity lacked a single, unified theology. This article shows how later “orthodoxy” emerged through historical consolidation rather than original consensus. - [The Death of Muhammad ﷺ: Poison, Prophethood, and the Misreading of Sources](https://bismikaallahuma.org/polemical-rebuttals/death-of-muhammad/): The death of Muhammad ﷺ examined through Qur’anic language, hadith context, and history, exposing how poison claims rely on misreading sources. - [Nabeel Qureshi (1983–2017): The Shocking Truth Behind a Manufactured “Ex-Muslim” Martyr](https://bismikaallahuma.org/op-ed/nabeel-qureshi/): Nabeel Qureshi died at the age of 34 years old in 2017 from a “rare and deadly form of stomach cancer" on 16th of September 2017 with mixed reactions. - [Paul Says That Mark Is Futile: No Resurrection In Mark’s Gospel](https://bismikaallahuma.org/bible/resurrection-in-mark/): But the first of the four gospels, i.e., the Gospel according to Mark, apparently did not receive Paul’s memo. And this is a very important point as we keep in mind that each of the gospels were initially divorced from each other and were written in different localities for different audiences. - [The Gospels’ Accounts Regarding the Call of the First Disciples](https://bismikaallahuma.org/bible/bible-contradictions/call-of-the-first-disciples/): So which is the correct Gospel account concerning the choice of Jesus' first apostles? The following Bible contradiction was extracted from an unpublished thesis entitled Ibn Hazm On The Doctrine of Tahrif which cites Kitab al-Fasl fi al-Milal wa al-Ahwa’ wa al-Nihal and insha’allah this will be part of an ongoing series to reproduce extracts of Ibn Hazm’s criticisms of the Bible and Christianity. - [On The Reliability Of Luke As A Historian](https://bismikaallahuma.org/bible/luke-as-a-historian/): One of the most popular argument often proposed by missionaries as “evidence” that Luke was “inspired”, or at least someone who we can blindly trust without second thoughts, is as follows: he was an excellent historian who conducted a careful investigation during the course of composing his books. - [Ali Sina’s “Understanding Muhammad: A Psychobiography”](https://bismikaallahuma.org/book-reviews/ali-sina-understanding-muhammad/): For those who are familiar with “Faithfreedom International”, the name of its founder Ali Sina (a pseudonym) is synonymous with the bigotry and vile rhetoric often displayed against Muslims and Islam. He openly advocated for the atomic bomb to be used on Muslims and declared that he will “wipe out” Islam within 30 years. - [King Abdullah I: The Zionist Invasion As Seen by the Arabs](https://bismikaallahuma.org/history/king-abdullah-zionist-invasion/): King Abdullah disputes the mistaken view that Arab opposition to Zionism (and later the state of Israel) is because of longstanding religious or ethnic hatred. - [A Jewel It’s Not: Review of “The Jewel of Medina: A Novel” by Sherry Jones](https://bismikaallahuma.org/book-reviews/jewel-review-jewel-medina-sherry-jones/): After Denise Spellberg, associate professor of history and Middle Eastern studies at the University of Texas, assessed the manuscript as “a very ugly, stupid, piece of work” which turned sacred history into soft-core pornography and warned that publication could provoke violence, Ballantine Books, a division of Random House, consulted with security experts and then negotiated an agreement with Jones to terminate their $100,000 two-book contract. - [Resolving The Christian “I-Know-Nothing” Multi-Problem In Textual Criticism](https://bismikaallahuma.org/bible/christian-multi-problem/): Occasionally, we come across Christians face-to-face and, more frequently, on the Internet, who, when informed that the text of the gospels underwent corruption during their transmission, often react with the following type of questions: "When? Who did the corruption? In what country? Before or after Muhammad? Why was it done? How come no one noticed it?" These type of seemingly "innocent" questions merely reveal the incalculably colossal ignorance of the person in question. - [Differences Between The Muslim And Christian Concepts Of Divine Love](https://bismikaallahuma.org/islam/concepts-of-divine-love/): Christians might argue that nevertheless we need lofty ideals to strive for, even if they are virtually unattainable. Muslims might reply that it is detrimental for public morality if unattainable rules are promoted which, of course, are constantly violated by everybody in sight, because that (Christian) approach creates a climate of, and promotes, hypocrisy at a massive scale. - [The Myth of “The Myth of Moderate Islam”](https://bismikaallahuma.org/islam/myth-moderate-islam/): In a recent article in The Spectator magazine in the UK, the evangelical leader Patrick Sookhdeo takes a swipe at Muslims and their religion. Does his case stand up to scrutiny? Patrick Sookhdeo’s article (July 30, 2005) in London’s The Spectator, "The Myth of a Moderate Islam" reflects a dangerous trend in the war on terror. Under the guise of informing Westerners about Islam, he is in fact spreading the very same disinformation that anti-Islamic polemics have been based upon for over 1,000 years. This plays directly into the hands of Osama bin Laden, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi and others, for it encourages the “clash of civilizations” they so appallingly desire. It is indeed of the utmost importance that we learn more about Islam and fight the scourge of extremism with all the tools possible. But Sookhdeo and those like him corrupt this process, seeking to advance their own agenda by turning the war on terror into an ideological war against Islam. - [How the Qur’an Was Revealed and Compiled](https://bismikaallahuma.org/multimedia/how-the-quran-was-revealed-and-compiled/): The following is a video lecture made by Hamza Yusof on July 14th, 1997 and in cooperation with Alhambra Productions. The topic of the history of the Qur'an and its compilation, and forms as part of a "Foundations of Islam" series of lectures. Hamza Yusof gave a good historical background of the Qur'an, its history and how it was Revealed in stages to the Prophet Muhammad (P), its compilation after the passing of the Prophet (P) as well as demonstrating the textual integrity of the Qur'an, as opposed to the textual frailty of the Judeo-Christian text which stands on shaky ground. Also of interest is the Question & Answer session towards the end of this lecture which we hope our readers will find beneficial. - [Schism — A Muslim Answer To Fitna](https://bismikaallahuma.org/polemical-rebuttals/schism-a-muslim-answer-to-fitna/): This short movie was made in less than twenty four hours in response to Geert Wilders's anti-Islam polemical movie, entitled "Fitna". The six-minute video called "Schism" by 33-year-old Saudi blogger Raid Al-Saeed takes violent Biblical texts and intersperses them with fiery rants by a Christian fundamentalist youth leader in Texas. Kudos goes to the Muslim brother who directed the video. This is the kind of "response" that is needed from Muslims, an intellectual response and not one which is based on emotion. - [What Should Be The Muslim Reaction To Christmas?](https://bismikaallahuma.org/christianity/muslim-christmas/): What proceeds is an analytical view of Christmas and appropriate Muslim conduct during the Christmas season. - [Another Rational Approach To The Prophethood of Muhammad](https://bismikaallahuma.org/muhammad/another-rational-approach-prophethood-muhammad/): So is it possible for the Most Wise to enable a liar to be victorious, assist him, aid him against his opponents and make the end result in his favour and his followers, although this liar continuously invent lies and forgeries against God claiming that He sent him - [An Eye-Opening Biblical Narration](https://bismikaallahuma.org/bible/eye-opening-biblical-narration/): Many Christians like the whale Sam Shamoun, Craig Winn and others simply love going around bad-mouthing the Qur'an, saying that it contains "perverted, nonsensical teachings". Let us have have a glimpse of their "sensical" Bible. Before I proceed further I would like to state for the record that Muslims are utterly shocked and offended that the Bible portrays great messengers of God as low-live drunkards. Coming back to the story, notice how the story says Ham, THE FATHER of Canaan. This is rather interesting. Seems like its trying to prove or lead to something. - [Response To “Muhammad as Al-Amin (the Trustworthy): How His Enemies Really Viewed Him” And The Christian Missionaries](https://bismikaallahuma.org/islam/response-to-muhammad-as-the-trustworthy/): It has become a habit for some to publish responses to any paper dealing with the issue of Islam, its truthfulness and the falsehood of other religions. This is particularly true of the Christian missionaries as such people do not care whether they provide an efficient responses or not; all they care about is to respond, regardless of the outcome. Is this reaction an idiotic one? Well, we cannot claim that it is a stupid strategy; because it is always useful to show your followers that you are able to respond and speak loudly, drowning other voices. The psychological factor is after all always important here. But what is glaring indeed are the content of such "responses" because the writer tries to show that he is competent in the field when in actual fact he is totally unqualified. - [Missionary Activity in Kosovo and the Causes of Muslim Conversions](https://bismikaallahuma.org/christian-deception/missionary-activity-in-kosovo/): After the last war in Kosovo, the overall economic situation of the country has deteriorated in a drastic way. As is well-known, the end of war meant that Kosovo became a target for many Christian organizations, a phenomenon which seems to accompany every war-emerging country nowadays. The same happened to post-communist Albania, as well as Bosnia, Rwanda and several other countries in the world involved in different conflicts. Needless to mention, great poverty is a gate to disbelief, as man is continuously in search for the provision granted to him by the Almighty and frustration seems to cause all kinds of incongruent decisions. In order to elucidate the bitter reality in Kosovo, we are presenting the case of the conversion of an entire Muslim family to Christianity. - [Learning Christianity in Five Minutes](https://bismikaallahuma.org/bible/learning-christianity-minutes/): It is well-known that the "Christianity" of today has dubious origins, which ironically does not come from Jesus, peace be upon him (although the whole structure is attributed to him), but from Paul of Tarsus, who can be rightly referred to as "that Satanic apostle". For it was Paul who laid down the religious foundations of today's Christianity, doctrines based on the idolatry and philosophical thought of the Greco-Roman empire at the time. - [The Consensus on Homosexuality and The Illiteracy of Christian Polemicists](https://bismikaallahuma.org/polemical-rebuttals/consensus-homosexuality-illiteracy-christian-polemicists/): Among the most laughable arguments of Christian missionaries and atheists is their argument to show that Islam does not prohibit homosexuality and that it is permissible in Islam. This is indeed an ideal example of how ignorance and incompetence can make a person become a joke before his opponents. In order to dispel the Islamic illiteracy of these types of people, we are providing an educational guide to those who ignore that homosexuality is utterly prohibited and given the capital punishment in Islam. - [The Authentic Gospel of Jesus](https://bismikaallahuma.org/bible/bible-commentary/the-authentic-gospel-of-jesus/): Instead of writing a full-scale biography of Jesus of Nazareth, I want to focus on some aspects of the life and teaching of Jesus of Nazareth that are commonly overlooked by most Christians. Any attempt to reconstruct the historical Jesus (as distinct from the incarnate deity of ecclesiastical faith) needs to take into account all the recoverable data about Jesus, much of which has been ignored by many Christians because of its' embarrassment to Christian orthodoxy. Jesus' reported sayings in the Gospels are frequently subjected to tortuous exegesis by fundamentalist Christians to make them fit later church tradition. Paradoxically, the data has been critically examined by none other than Christian scholars themselves. - [The Pagan Christ(ianity)](https://bismikaallahuma.org/christianity/the-pagan-christianity/): Christianity is based on the mystery religions of the ancient world. The doctrines of the "Trinity" and "incarnation" were borrowed from the pagans. In fact, the whole religion was fabricated after the departure of Jesus. The legendary stories of ‘man-god’ saviors dying for the sins of their people (and rising three days later) were commonly propagated. The Christianity that we know today simply plagiarized the stories and foisted them upon Jesus (P). - [The Hijab and The Muslim Woman](https://bismikaallahuma.org/islam/women-in-islam/hijab-muslim-woman/): The Islamic revival symbolized by the current resurgence of the hijab is often considered as an attempt of Arab Muslims to restore their pride and identity which have been repeatedly undermined by colonization and economic retardation. Man has always had a conservative tendency and reacts against which is new and unfamiliar without realizing whether it is good or bad for him. Some people still think the Muslim women insist on wearing hijab which is the "very symbol of the oppressed situation because they are enslaved by the tradition and are not sufficiently aware of their lamentable situation. "If only", they probably think, "the movement of the women's liberation and independence awakes those women's mind, they will take away the hijab." - [Do Not Be Fooled By Propaganda](https://bismikaallahuma.org/islam/do-not-be-fooled-by-propaganda/): There is an ongoing slander campaign against Islam, claiming that it is a religion that promotes violence and hinting that it seeks world conquest. Before you buy the malarkey that is being produced by people with their own agendas or prejudices or who are just plain ignoramuses, follow these few suggestions. - [Tacitus’ Fragment 2: The Anti-Roman Movement of the Christiani and the Nazoreans](https://bismikaallahuma.org/christianity/tacitus-fragment-2-the-anti-roman-movement-of-the-christiani-and-the-nazoreans/): In the well-known section of Annales 15.44, Tacitus refers unmistakably to "Christiani." We shall presently take a fresh look at another passage thought to be at least partly Tacitean and which also mentions a sect called "Christiani." In so doing, this will demonstrate how much historical data can be successfully concealed in one brief passage. As will be seen, when it comes to these "Christiani," things are not at all as they have seemed. The second passage in question is commonly known as Tacitus' fragment 2, much of which is generally considered to have once been part of the now lost portion of the fifth book of Tacitus' Historiae. Fragment 2 was preserved by the Christian historian Sulpicius Severus in his Chronica 2.30.6-7 (ca. 400-403 CE). - [The Lamb of The Christians](https://bismikaallahuma.org/christianity/lamb-christians/): Praise be to Allah who granted us with the blessing of monotheism, I seek the refuge of Allah from disbelief and those people who associate themselves with disbelief. The author of the Book of Revelations had described/portrayed his god as a slain lamb with seven horns and seven eyes. Please notice the distinction in the last verse between God "which sitteth upon the throne" and the Lamb indicating that Christians have another god - a lamb - to worship in association with Allah, the True God Who is upon the throne. - [“O’ Christ-Worshippers!” A Qasidah Which Refutes Christianity](https://bismikaallahuma.org/christianity/o-christ-worshippers/): Ibn al-Qayyim al-Jauziyyah was a prominent Muslim jurist during Islam's Golden Age. Apart from his jurisdistic prowess, he was also competent in composing qasidah (Arabic poetry). Among his more famous works was the qasidah entitled A'obbad al-Maseeh Fi Naqd al-Nasraniyyah (O Christ-Worshippers! A Poem Refuting Christianity). This qasidah is well-known in the Muslim world and has even been turned into a song. The following is the English translation of the poetry which is immediately accompanied by the Arabic original. - [Hagarism: The Story Of A Book Written By Infidels For Infidels](https://bismikaallahuma.org/book-reviews/hagarism-story-book-written-infidels/): Scholarly decency demands that the authors of the 1977 book Hagarism: The Making of the Islamic World officially repudiate a scandalous thesis, one in which they no longer believe and one that maligns the faith of more than a billion people. - [Contradictions On Jesus’ (Alleged) Trials, Death And Resurrection](https://bismikaallahuma.org/bible/bible-contradictions/contradictions-jesus-alleged-trials-death-resurrection/): The Christians are fond of celebrating the death of their man-god (whom they claim to be Jesus, peace be upon him) every year, although it does boggle the mind as to why would someone accept the fact that their god can actually "die". However as Muslims, we believe that the claim concerning Jesus (P) is false and full of conjectures. A mighty Prophet of God (as we believe Jesus certainly is) would never had to bear the agony of being crucified at the hands of his enemies. As it stands, we would also like to note that to substantiate our claims, there are various contradictions regarding the accounts on Jesus' trials, death and resurrection which appear throughout the New Testament. - [The Saviors Were Real](https://bismikaallahuma.org/christianity/saviors-real/): It is unwarrantably assumed by Christian writers that the incarnated Gods and crucified Saviors of the pagan religions were all either mere fabulous characters, or ordinary human beings invested with divine titles, and divine attributes; while, on the other hand, the assumption is put forth with equal boldness that Jesus Christ was a real divine personage, "seen and believed on in the world, and finally crucified on Mount Calvary." But we do not find the facts in history to warrant any such assumptions or any such distinctions. They all stand in these respects upon the same ground and on equal footing. - [The Apotheosis of Jesus of Nazareth](https://bismikaallahuma.org/christianity/apotheosis-jesus-nazareth/): A special "gift" for the Christian missionaries on occasion of Good Friday. I wish to show by an analysis of Wisdom Christology in Matthew’s gospel chapter 23, that the evangelist took the dramatic step of changing Jesus’ metaphysical status from creature to Creator by altering the Q tradition, and to reflect on the theological implications of this metamorphosis for Christianity, and where we go from here. - [In Praise of Muhammad, the Mercy to All the Worlds](https://bismikaallahuma.org/muhammad/mercy-to-all-the-worlds/): The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, was born into this world on April 9th, 570, Christian era in the lunar month of Rabi'a al-Awwal. His father, Abdallah died during his mother’s pregnancy. And for the first four years he was raised in the relative purity of the desert by a Bedouin woman named Halimah. After which he returned to his mother, Aminah. But in his seventh year, his mother died leaving him in the care of his grandfather. At the age of twenty-five, he was employed as a commercial agent by Lady Khadijah, a successful widow from his own clan. She soon recognized his honesty and good nature and proposed marriage. Although fifteen years younger than she was, he accepted her proposal, and fathered six of his seven children with her. - [Saviour-gods Mutilated Throughout Antiquity](https://bismikaallahuma.org/christianity/saviour-gods-mutilated-throughout-antiquity/): One of the big questions nobody has asked about Mel Gibson's The Passion Of The Christ is this: If the crucifixion was a historic event and so central to the Christian Gospel, why is it that there is no evidence whatever of a man on a cross in Christian art and monuments for almost seven centuries? Not until 692 CE, in the reign of Emperor Justinian II, was it decreed that henceforth instead of a lamb (the zodiacal sign of Aries) fixed on the cross, the figure of Jesus be placed there instead. Another question: How is it that the earliest known figure of any man on a cross comes from about 300 BCE and that "person" is not Jesus but Orpheus, a mythical Greek sun-god? - [Was Sarah The Sister of Abraham?](https://bismikaallahuma.org/bible/sister-of-abraham/): Was Sarah really Abraham's sister? Ibn Hazm questions the status of Sarah as being Abraham's sister, as accepting that viz., from the Biblical perspective would result in various disagreements with other passages in the Old Testament concerning moral and theological issues. This is in reference to the stories of Sarah's seizure by Pharaoh and Abime'elech which was narrated in Genesis 12:10-18 and Genesis 20, Genesis 17:17 and Genesis 20:1-18. We cite the related passages on the story of the seizure of Sarah as follows. - [Does God Change His Mind? Ibn Ḥazm on Exodus 32–33](https://bismikaallahuma.org/bible/does-god-change-his-mind/): Does God change or does not change His mind? According to Ibn Hazm, Exodus 32:10-14 and 33:3-14 ascribes al-bada' (changing of mind) to God and hence this presents a problem to the nature of God and His characters with regard to His All-Knowing attribute. When one compares the above passages side by side, the internal contradictions between especially Exodus 32:10, 32:14 and 33:2-3 on the one hand and Exodus 33:14 on the other, clearly raises many problems of theological and moral concern from the Biblical context. In this case that was quoted above, in spite of God's determination to punish the Israelites for their idolatrous conduct, He did not execute punishment due to the intercession of Moses who had "reminded" God of His promise made with Abraham and the patriachs for their descendents. This Biblical passage seems to implicitly suggest that this "reminder" had made God realise his "wrong" decision and have Him repenting for it. Such an obvious "error" or even to imply such a thing is hardly befitting any person of integrity, let alone God, the Almighty. - [In the Fog of History: Review of G. R. Hawting, “The Idea of Idolatry and the Emergence of Islam. From Polemic to History”](https://bismikaallahuma.org/book-reviews/in-the-fog-of-history/): The issue raised by this monograph thus can only exist, as a historical issue, if there is a marked difference between the Qur'an and what the author parenthetically calls "Muslim traditional literature." This is precisely the author's position, and he posits that a historical gap existed between the formation of the Qur'an and the appearance of this Muslim traditional literature (pp. 17-18). The Qur'an, according to the author, predates all the other literature. Moreover, the knowledge hitherto accepted as historical that we have about the rise of early Islam is not, according to the author, a product of the Qur'an but of this literature (which he defines as comprising everything but the Qur'an). The whole of the monograph is dedicated to proving that the Qur'an is not arguing against "real" pagans when it argues with the group it calls mushrikun, those who practice shirk or associationism, that is, worshiping other deities in addition to Allah. Rather, the author claims, the Qur'an is adopting a rhetorical stratagem that is very common to monotheistic traditions. To call someone a "pagan" or "idolater" was to label them as less Christian or less Jewish than the accusing faction. The same should be held true for the arguments in the Qur'an. - [The Usage and Significance of the New Testament Versions for Text Critical Purposes](https://bismikaallahuma.org/bible/new-testament-versions/): "Versions" are simply the translations of the New Testament into other languages. The New Testament writers originally wrote their books and epistles in the Greek language whereas the versions are translations of their writings into other languages. Naturally, non-Greek speaking Christians wanted the text of the New Testament in their own local languages and so the New Testament began to be translated into other languages sometime in the mid to late second century. An important point to remember is that no matter how many thousands of translations exist, it remains that they are in a different language from the original language (Greek) of the New Testament, thus their use and value will be limited. - [The Sign of Immanuel: Was It About Jesus?](https://bismikaallahuma.org/bible/immanuel-god-with-us/): The authors of the New Testament have often quoted passages from the Old Testament, claiming such statements to be prophecies fulfilled in the person of Jesus Christ. The number of such quoted passages is actually very high. Among the evangelists, Matthew is the one having made this phenomenon characteristic to his Gospel. The prophecy carries a very important place in the Christian theology. Every Christian knows about the prophecies of the books of Psalms, Isaiah, and Daniel related to the childhood, life, mission, and death of Jesus. To every Christian, these prophecies are the clear evidence of the truth of Gospels and mission of Jesus in general. The problem is that according to the Bible, there exists true prophecies as well as false ones. Hence the question arises on the necessary criteria to distinguish a false prophecy from a true one. - [Classical Islamic Arguments for the Existence of God](https://bismikaallahuma.org/islam/classical-islamic-arguments-for-the-existence-of-god/): After Wensinck’s brilliant study, a fresh examination of the argument for the existence of God in Islam might appear impertinent. Some justification for the present discussion, however, may be found in the fact that some of the material on which this study is based was not available to Wensinck, when his monograph appeared in 1936, and in the slightly different interpretation of certain relevant data here attempted. - [Accepting Islam: A Young Man Affirms his Shahadah](https://bismikaallahuma.org/islam/reciting-shahada/): The following is a multimedia video of a young man who takes his shahadah (testimony of faith) and affirms that he is a Muslim before a number of witnesses. To be a Muslim is a simple as simply saying Ashhadu ana illaha illa Allah, Muhammad Rasul Allah (I bear witness that there is no deity but God Almighty and that Muhammad is His Messenger) and he is immediately accepted as a Muslim. Such strict monotheism is the feature of Islam as the religio naturalis of man and the religion par excellence of mankind. - [A Rational Approach to the Prophethood of Muhammad](https://bismikaallahuma.org/muhammad/rational-approach-prophethood-muhammad/): It is generally well-known that a person who claims Prophethood is either someone of the best or the worst of mankind, and these two extremes can never be confused. This is true indeed, due to the fact that he is either a truthful Prophet of God, thus it is accepted that he should be one of the best and most perfect person, an example par excellence. Or, if he is a liar against God -- and this is the most terrible of lies -- there he is one of the worst and most wicked person to ever walk the earth. This big difference is too great to be missed by any lay person, let alone smart and intelligent individuals. It is truly a very huge difference, indeed! - [Muhammad in the Bible: The Shiloh from Arabia](https://bismikaallahuma.org/muhammad/shiloh-from-arabia/): It is virtually impossible to read and comprehend the Israeli-altered Scripture without taking into account everything it says and identifying the prophecies that had not been fulfilled at the time of Jesus' departure, and knowing what has since happened in the Promised Land ~ including a thousand years, in Jerusalem and the Promised Land that came after Jesus had long gone, which are missing from European and other Western history books. - [Response to Jay Smith: “Biblical Characters In The Qur’an”](https://bismikaallahuma.org/multimedia/response-to-jay-smith-biblical-characters-in-the-quran/): In summary, the videos will show that the claims made by the missionary Jay Smith are at best dubious, deceptive and have been dealt with extensively by Muslim scholars of the past. The problem is that Mr. Smith is aware of these facts, but chooses to ignore them. When it comes to the Qur’an he will transform into a liberal but when it comes to the Bible he will transform into a right-wing, conservative inerranist. This shows his own inconsistency in dealing with the issues present. If he was serious in the things he has to say about the Qur’an, then we wonder how he can still believe in the Bible as in inerrant document. - [Response to “Is The Qur’an Corrupted? Biblical Characters in the Qur’an”](https://bismikaallahuma.org/multimedia/response-to-is-the-quran-corrupted-biblical-characters-in-the-quran/): A response to the Christian missionary and polemicist, Jay Smith's video, "Is The Qu'ran Corrupted? Biblical Characters in the Qu'ran" by Iqra Productions. This video will show that the sources that the Christian missionary Jay Smith uses are dubious, deceptive and have been dealt with extensively by Muslim scholars of the past. It also exposes the weaknesses of the Bible narratives and challenges the missionary to explain the similarities of the Bible narratives with earlier sources and texts. - [Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb: Bad Ruler Or Bad History?](https://bismikaallahuma.org/history/mughal-emperor-aurangzeb-bad-ruler-bad-history/): Of all the Muslim rulers who ruled vast territories of India from 712 to 1857 CE, probably no one has received as much condemnation from Western and Hindu writers as Aurangzeb. He has been castigated as a religious Muslim who was anti-Hindu, who taxed them, who tried to convert them, who discriminated against them in awarding high administrative positions, and who interfered in their religious matters. This view has been heavily promoted in the government approved textbooks in schools and colleges across post-partition India (i.e., after 1947). These are fabrications against one of the best rulers of India who was pious, scholarly, saintly, unbiased, liberal, magnanimous, tolerant, competent, and far-sighted. - [Why I Love the Muslim Veil](https://bismikaallahuma.org/islam/why-i-love-the-muslim-veil/): Having been on both sides of the veil, I can tell you that Western male politicians and journalists have no idea what they are talking about when they blame Islam for child brides, female circumcision, honor killings and forced marriages. A careful reading of the Qur'an shows that just about everything Western feminists fought for in the 1970s was available 1,400 years ago to Muslim women, who are considered equal to men in spirituality, education and worth. When Islam offers women so much, why are Western men so obsessed with Muslim women's attire? Even British government ministers Gordon Brown and John Reid have made disparaging remarks about the niqab, and they hail from Scotland, where men wear skirts. - [Eid Mubarak! On Occasion of Eid al-Adha (Feast of Sacrifice)](https://bismikaallahuma.org/islam/eid-mubarak-on-occasion-of-eid-al-adha-feast-of-sacrifice/): At the end of the Hajj (annual pilgrimage to Mecca), Muslims throughout the world celebrate the holiday of Eid al-Adha (Festival of Sacrifice). In 2006, Eid al-Adha will begin on approximately December 31st, and will last for three days. During the Hajj, Muslims remember and commemorate the trials and triumphs of the Prophet Abraham. One of Abraham's main trials was to face the command of Allah to kill his only son. Upon hearing this command, he prepared to submit to Allah's will. When he was all prepared to do it, Allah revealed to him that his "sacrifice" had already been fulfilled. He had shown that his love for his Lord superseded all others, that he would lay down his own life or the lives of those dear to him in order to submit to God. - [60 Questions For The Christians To Answer](https://bismikaallahuma.org/christianity/60-questions-christians-answer/): According to most Christians, Jesus was God-incarnate, fully man and fully God. Can the finite and the infinite be one? "To be fully God" means freedom from finite forms and from helplessness, and to be "full man" means the absence of divinity. Christians assert that Jesus claimed to be God when they quote him in John 14:9: "He that has seen me has seen the Father". Didn’t Jesus clearly say that people have never seen God, as it says in John 5:37: "And the father himself which Has sent me, has borne witness of me. You have neither heard His voice at any time nor seen His shape"? - [Sura’ al-Fatihah and the Missionary’s “Straight Path”](https://bismikaallahuma.org/polemical-rebuttals/straight-path/): Some Christian missionaries have the inherent fantasy that Sura' al-Fatihah (the first Sura' of the Qur'an) somehow supports their false pagan doctrine of the Trinity. They will first cite the whole ayaat and then twist this interpretation to suit their false doctrine. Let us now deal with this latest polemic in the following paragraphs. - [Hubal in the Worship of Pre-Islamic Arab Consciousness](https://bismikaallahuma.org/polemical-rebuttals/hubal-worship/): Was Allah ever identical to Hubal in pre-Islamic Arabia? This rebuttal dismantles the claim by examining historical sources, cultic practice, and theological continuity, showing that Hubal functioned as a foreign idol while Allah remained a transcendent high deity. Read the full rebuttal to see why the “Allah = Hubal” theory collapses under historical and logical scrutiny. - [Tony Blair: Islam the Standard-Bearer of Tolerance](https://bismikaallahuma.org/history/tony-blair-islam-the-standard-bearer-of-tolerance/): We present as follows a quote from Tony Blair, Prime Minister of United Kingdom, which was published quite recently in Foreign Affairs, January/February 2007. - [Discovering The Pagan Origins Of Christmas](https://bismikaallahuma.org/christianity/pagan-origins-of-christmas/): Few people realize that the origins of a form of Christmas was pagan and celebrated in Europe long before anyone there had heard of Jesus (P). No one knows what day Jesus (P) was born on. From the biblical description, most historians believe that his birth probably occurred in September, approximately six months after Passover. One thing they agree on is that it is very unlikely that Jesus was born in December, since the Bible records shepherds tending their sheep in the fields on that night. This is quite unlikely to have happened during a cold Judean winter. So why do we celebrate Christ’s birthday as Christmas, on December 25th? - [The Politics of Christianization in Albania](https://bismikaallahuma.org/christian-deception/politics-christianization-albania/): Since 1913, when the state of Albania came into existence, the only Muslim state of Europe has continuously been attacked by virulent Christian missionary organizations which aim to Christianize its population. The worst waves of Christianization has been after 1991, when the communist regime collapsed in the country. The communists, who destroyed Islam very badly in its religious and cultural infrastructure, created all the needed conditions for the Christianization of de-Islamized Albania. As Miranda Vickers points out in her book Albania: From Anarchy to a Balkan Identity, Albania of 1990's became a battling ground for many Christian fundamentalist organizations, whose aim was to evangelize the lost Muslim populations of the Ottoman Balkans. - [Ruling on Celebrating Christmas and Congratulating Them](https://bismikaallahuma.org/christianity/muslims-celebrating-christmas-ruling/): Since the pagan festival of Christmas, celebrated by the Trinitarian polytheists, is fast approaching on the 25th of December, we would like on this occassion present a fatawa (Islamic ruling) for the Muslims with regard to celebrating their festival or even congratulating them. It should be noted that the Christians believe that Jesus is literally God, hence to participate or even greet them is to agree with their doctrine. Therefore Muslims should be aware of the boundaries with regard to Christmas and how one should approach it. - [Have They No Understanding Of Arabic Grammar?](https://bismikaallahuma.org/polemical-rebuttals/understanding-arabic-grammar/): They certainly have no inkling about the development of a language, whether it is Arabic or otherwise; grammar was not the machine that produced the Arabic language, rather it is simply a logical explanation to ways of Arabic speech. Due to their inherent stupidity, the Christians do not recognize the correct historicity of its chronological order: Arabs speak the language first, then explanatory rules are formulated later (after the advent of Islam). Consequently, grammar should agree with Arabic speech, not vice versa. - [The Soul of Hajj](https://bismikaallahuma.org/history/the-soul-of-hajj/): What then is hajj? In essence, hajj is man’s evolution toward Allah; his return to Him. It is a symbolic demonstration of the philosophy of creation of Adam (AS: alayhis salam), the first man. To further illustrate this, it may be stated that the performance of hajj is a simultaneous show or exhibit of many things. It is a show of creation. It is a show of history. It is a show of unity. It is a show of Islamic ideology. It is a show of Ummah, the community of Muslims. - [Zionism Exposed: 12 Critical Facts on Its Ideology, Origins, and Impact in Palestine](https://bismikaallahuma.org/history/zionism/): This article was written to provide a scholarly analysis on the ideology of Zionism, its origins and purpose, as well as its past "achievements" in having successfully displacing thousands of Palestinians who suddenly lost their homeland to this group of terrorists. We seek to confront and expose the true nature of the ideology of Zionism, often touted as "Jewish nationalism". Can Zionism be equated with the Jews and Judaism? Is Zionism wholly grounded on religious grounds as the Zionist themselves try to claim, or just another name for the secular and/or racist ideologies that we have seen in the last century in the likes of Nazism, Fascism and Apartheid? These are the fruits of our research on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and we leave it to the reader to form their own conclusions and decide whether Zionism should be rightfully confronted and opposed, or otherwise. - [The Descent Of Jesus Son Of Mary, As Portrayed In The Quran](https://bismikaallahuma.org/christianity/the-descent-of-jesus-son-of-mary-as-portrayed-in-the-quran/): How can Jesus son Mary, be a sign of the Hour (Doomsday)? It cannot be except with his descent being in the last stage and period. His descent would then be a great sign and one of the major portents of the Hour - a sign that announces the closeness of its occurrence. This is how the verse has commonly been explained by the scholars of tafsir (exegesis of the Quran). Amongst them are Mujahid, Suddee, Qatada, Hasan al-Basri, Dahhaak and Ibn Zayd. It is also the saying of Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him). They all have stated this explicitly, that Jesus son of Mary is one of the signs of the Hour in the sense that he will descend and rule the earth and dwell therein for forty years, as is mentioned in the authentic hadith, that will be mentioned shortly. And his descent will be one of the great signs of Allah and one of the supreme portents of the Hour. - [Does Islam Require Four Witnesses For Rape?](https://bismikaallahuma.org/polemical-rebuttals/islam-require-witnesses-rape/): Unfortunately for such people, this fallacy of equivocation has no basis in Islamic jurisdictions and the punishment for rape (which is defined as forced sexual intercourse) is certainly not equivalent to the punishment of adultery. Insha'allah, in what follows we aim to deal with this issue once and for all by breaking it down into several points so as to enable easy understanding. - [Whaling A Taqiya](https://bismikaallahuma.org/polemical-rebuttals/whaling-a-taqiyyah/): We recently came face-to-face with the lies of a low-level Christian missionary on the voice channel Paltalk with regard to the so-called "abrogration" of Qur'an, 2:256 ("There is no compulsion in religion..."). The same Christian missionary also accused this author of committing taqiyyah and resorted to the tafsir (commentary) by Ibn Kathir from the same volume (the abridged translation) to lend "support" to his further misinterpretation of the Qur'anic text. - [How Tafsir is Performed?](https://bismikaallahuma.org/quran/how-tafsir-is-performed/): If you ask what is the best method of tafsir, the answer is that the best way is to explain the Qur'an through the Qur'an. For, what the Qur'an alludes to at one place is explained at the other, and what it says in brief on one occasion is elaborated upon at the other. But if this does not help you, you should turn to the Sunnah, because the Sunnah explains and elucidates the Qur'an. Imam Abu `Abd Allah Muhammad ibn Idris al-Shafi`i has said: "All that the Prophet, peace be upon him, has said is what he has derived from the Qur'an." - [Book Review Of “The Sword of the Prophet” By Serge Trifkovic](https://bismikaallahuma.org/book-reviews/book-review-of-the-sword-of-the-prophet-by-serge-trifkovic/): The book The Sword of the Prophet written by Dr. Serge (a.k.a. Srdja) Trifkovic of Serbian extract, is similar to many such post-Cold War era books (written by pseudo-experts like Judith Miller & Co.) that are written to keep alive the perceived "threat" of Islam before our eyes, while guaranteeing themselves profitable fees, consultancies, recurrent appearances in TV and lucrative book contracts. To these bunch of bigoted, eavesdropping, lying and self-promoting journalists, in these days, especially after 9/11, there is no better and easier way to draw attention and sell books than to demean and dehumanize Muslims and Islam. It does not take too much insight to find common grounds that motivates these bigots. - [Jimmy Carter, “Palestine Peace Not Apartheid”](https://bismikaallahuma.org/book-reviews/jimmy-carter-palestine-peace-not-apartheid/): Following his #1 New York Times bestseller, Our Endangered Values, the former President, winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, offers an assessment of what must be done to bring permanent peace to Israel with dignity and justice to Palestine in his latest work, "Palestine Peace Not Apartheid" (Simon and Schuster, 2006). - [Beware The Happy Clappies](https://bismikaallahuma.org/islam/beware-the-happy-clappies/): I am growing increasingly frustrated at the mealy-mouthed, apologetic bunch of Muslims paraded across our TV screens these days. And just when one lot suddenly wake up, smell the coffee and begin to disagree with US and British foreign policies, another bunch take their place. - [Our Allegience Is Only To Islam](https://bismikaallahuma.org/op-ed/allegience-islam/): The real religious extremists who pose the greatest threat to radicalizing our youth are the Christian Fundamentalists in the White House and Downing Street. Bush and Blair have become al-Qaeda’s finest recruiting officers. More and younger Muslims are waking up with the realization that it is not terrorism or extremism that is being targeted but Islam itself. It is up to the Ummah to lead and inspire our youth, just as the Prophet (P) led and inspired millions and continues to do so. - [The Qur’an Cannot Be A Text of Divine Origin](https://bismikaallahuma.org/bible/quran-text-divine-origin/): The Christian missionaries tend to make the general conclusion that the Qur'an cannot be a text of divine origin because of the unacceptable meanings included in it.Perhaps they are correct in this conclusion and we may be inclined to agree with them due to the following reasons. - [Pope Benedict, Islam and Violence](https://bismikaallahuma.org/history/pope-benedict-islam-and-violence/): But why did the Muslim react in such a manner when Pope Benedict repeated something that we are already accustomed to hearing from not so friendly western public figures? After all flamboyant televangelists like Jerry Falwell have said worse things than the Pope –- calling the Prophet of Islam a paedophile and terrorist – yet we never asked for an apology. In the modern era, not least because of the late Pope John Paul II, Muslims have a genuine respect for the head of the Catholic church. The Crusades, the Reconquista, the Inquisitions were far behind us. The Catholic Church with its long history and tradition, its large number of faithful and the authority of its leadership, its unambiguous moral precepts and its liturgies and rites represent what constitutes Christian orthodoxy to ordinary Muslim eyes, as the last bastion against the inexorable march of secularization of western society. - [Surah al-Anbiyaa:30 and the Missionary Felix Culpa](https://bismikaallahuma.org/polemical-rebuttals/surah-al-anbiyaa30-and-the-missionary-felix-culpa/): Recently the world's most maladroit missionaries have allowed an impromptu piece to be published in response to Shabbir Ally's views on Surah al-Anbiyaa: 30. Personally I do believe that Shabbir's interpretation is wrong, albeit he was not the first Muslim to proffer such a cosmological hypothesis on this particular Holy Ayaah. However I feel that a two-fold response is requisite. - [On Revising Bigotry](https://bismikaallahuma.org/history/on-revising-bigotry/): The Conference unfolds to the balanced mind. Its soul is the honor of the search, the equanimity of judgment and the breath of beauty. Beauty is an intricate state of balance weighed by the scales of the Lord. The essence of beauty is balance, like the equipoise of sight, the restitutions of love and the harmony in the Divine word. - [We cannot afford to maintain these ancient prejudices against Islam](https://bismikaallahuma.org/op-ed/we-cannot-afford-to-maintain-these-ancient-prejudices-against-islam/): In the 12th century, Peter the Venerable, Abbot of Cluny, initiated a dialogue with the Islamic world. "I approach you not with arms, but with words," he wrote to the Muslims whom he imagined reading his book, "not with force, but with reason, not with hatred, but with love." Yet his treatise was entitled Summary of the Whole Heresy of the Diabolical Sect of the Saracens and segued repeatedly into spluttering intransigence. Words failed Peter when he contemplated the "bestial cruelty" of Islam, which, he claimed, had established itself by the sword. Was Muhammad a true prophet? "I shall be worse than a donkey if I agree," he expostulated, "worse than cattle if I assent!" - [An Islamic Response to Pope Benedict XVI](https://bismikaallahuma.org/polemical-rebuttals/an-islamic-response-to-pope-benedict-xvi/): Certainly there is no reason why a Muslim who knows his religion would not be outraged at the words cited from a medievel emperor, and it is justifiably so. What we would like to know is, how could Pope Benedict XVI have quoted from a power-crazy emperor whose hostility towards Islam was well-known? As the person considered as the "Vicar of Christ" leading a majority of the world's Christian population who ascribe to the Catholic faith, the Pope should be promoting peace and harmony between the two faiths. - [To do good works or saved by the blood of Christ?](https://bismikaallahuma.org/bible/to-do-good-works-or-saved-by-the-blood-of-christ/): Every Christian believe that they should do good works, that they should follow the law of the Prophets. However they do not believe that a man can be justified by the good works. "For all who rely on doing the works of the law are under a curse, because it is written, "Cursed is everyone who does not keep on doing everything written in the book of the law.” Now it is clear no one is justified before God by the law, because the righteous one will live by faith (On Jesus). But the law is not based on faith, but the one who does the works of the law will live by them. Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us."Galatians 3: 10-13 The above-mentioned teachings and belief of the Christians are based on Paul's teachings and the New Testament, which are against the teachings of Old Testament. - [Cosmology and the Holy Qur’an: A Response to Richard Carrier](https://bismikaallahuma.org/polemical-rebuttals/cosmology-and-the-holy-quran-a-response-to-richard-carrier/): This paper is intended to respond to atheistic criticism as proposed by Richard Carrier, in a rather large piece that is in my personal opinion and understanding, replete with errors and misunderstandings with regards to basic cosmological concepts, the Islamic viewpoint, as well as history. I also address a few polemics that were put forward by Freethought Mecca. Their article contains the particular objections that I shall address Insha’Allah, along with a spurious argument for Isaiah and then a few links to some other polemical sites; needless to say at least for now these few objections are the only ones that are relevant to this particular paper. - [Proof of the Christians’ Covert Crusade in Malaysia](https://bismikaallahuma.org/christianity/proof-of-the-christians-covert-crusade-in-malaysia/): Today, we see Muslims being propositioned by Christian evangelical groups and missionaries relentlessly with a zeal that astounds us. Day by day, they seek out the weak, the poor, the sick, the destitutes amongst the Muslims of Asia and work their way in. Many of these missionaries work under guise of charities and relief effort workers. By doing a bit of research, what do I find? Countless projects by the Christian Global Missionaries out with a purpose…to convert the Muslims to their creed. - [Tarif Khalidi, “The Muslim Jesus”](https://bismikaallahuma.org/book-reviews/tarif-khalidi-muslim-jesus/): The following is a synopsis of Tarif Khalidi's book entitled: "The Muslim Jesus", which might lead people to learn more about Islam. Tarif Khalidi is Sir Thomas Adams' Professor of Arabic, Director of the Centre of Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies, and Fellow of King's College, Cambridge. Here is a cross-section of book reviews from a variety of sources. - [Islam on Freedom of Religion](https://bismikaallahuma.org/history/islam-on-freedom-of-religion/): Apostasy, apparently a human rights related issue, is highly sensitive to the multi-racial and multi-religious character of Malaysia. It tends to be problematic, untenable to some, especially when it deals with conversion into and out of Islam. It is true, the whole question involves certain legal and social implications. At times, its repercussions appear to rattle the social solidarity and religious harmony of our peaceful nation. All these threatening consequences are actually caused by ignorance. This writing is not to incite further dissension. Neither is it intended to sound apologetic. On the contrary it calls for all parties directly or indirectly affected by the subject matter, Muslims and non-Muslims alike, to view it with an open heart guided by wisdom. - [An Afternoon With The Hijjabed](https://bismikaallahuma.org/islam/an-afternoon-with-the-hijjabed/): The following is a documentary produced by a group of students Multimedia University Cyberjaya, Malaysia, featuring opinions from various Muslim women about how they feel about the hijab (or the tudung as it is known in Malay) and streamed from YouTube. It portrays a very good side of Islam that is rarely shown to a Western audience. We feel that this documentary does a good job of dispelling the misconception that Muslim women are "oppressed" when the donn the hijab. Most of the conversation was done in Bahasa Melayu, but it is subtitled in English. - [Jesus and the Dead Sea Scrolls](https://bismikaallahuma.org/christianity/jesus-and-the-dead-sea-scrolls/): Michael Baigent and Richard Leigh, authors of The Dead Sea Scrolls Deception, argue that a pacifistic Jesus was very unlikely. As the authors point out, Qumranian phrases flowed from his lips, sometimes word for word. Traditionally, scholars concede that at least some Zealots made up Jesus inner circle. The Bible itself reveals him acting in a Zealot-like way, driving the money changers out of the Temple. He states in the gospels: "I am come not to bring peace, but a sword". In the same vein, when a cohort of Roman soldiers comes for him in Gethsemane, Peter raises his sword against them, hardly the act of a meek Christian. As revealing is the number of soldiers in a Roman cohort, six hundred. Why send six hundred soldiers except in anticipation of armed resistance? And crucifixion, remember, was the method of execution for rebels, not rabbis. These biblical events, in conflict with Christian tradition, do not conflict with the Qumran context. On the contrary, they fit. - [A Counter-Challenge to Sam Shamoun and the Christian Missionaries](https://bismikaallahuma.org/christianity/sam-shamoun-christian-missionaries/): Recently Sam Shamoun, a well-known belligerent and provocative Christian missionary at Answering Islam, issued a challenge to Muslims to prove that Jesus (peace be upon him) did not claim to be God, as per the Qur'anic statement. It is obvious, however, that his demands are as preposterous as it is stupid. The Qur'an certainly quotes or paraphrases Jesus as saying that he is not God, but in Arabic. This is because the Qur'an has affirmed itself to be revealed in Arabic text, sent down to an Arab prophet, lest its audience uses the excuse that they will not be able to understand the Qur'an if were brought down in a foreign tongue. - [What I Did Not Say And The Missionary Myopia](https://bismikaallahuma.org/op-ed/missionary-myopia/): There are those who say that lying and deceiving is at the soul of all crime and that Christianity epitomizes these traits more than any other faith. As proof of their assertion they often quote Paul of Tarsus, arguably the true founder of Christianity, who is recorded to have said, "But if through my falsehood God’s truthfulness abounds to his glory, why am I still being condemned as a sinner? Any why not do evil that good may come? – as some people slanderously charge us with saying. Their condemnation is just." (Romans 3:7-8) - [A Vision of the Future Without….](https://bismikaallahuma.org/christianity/a-vision-of-the-future/): The Christian missionaries and their allies have been calling for the destruction of Islam openly ever since the advent of the Internet. A cursory glance at these fanatical and bigoted websites will at once give the dilligent reader an idea of their genocidal tendencies against the Muslim Ummah, unfairly equating Islam with terrorism, and even denouncing Islam as equal to Nazism and hence Islam is not a "religion", according to their bigoted lenses. While their intention is clear (i.e. the destruction of Islam), some liberal Christians who have taken this author to task for the so-called "call" for the destruction of Christianity are blissfully unaware of these developments. Sadly too, some ignorant liberal Muslims from among the ummah are siding with these passive Christian liberals and are too caught unawares of this hidden missionary threat. Even more, there are groups who openly pander to the hidden agendas of the kufaar and openly side with them in their genocidal ambitions. - [“Quod licet Iovi, non licet bovi”: Why A Different Yardstick For Muslims?](https://bismikaallahuma.org/christianity/quod-licet-iovi-non-licet-bovi/): In the post-9/11 era the Western media are at the forefront of a highly orchestrated assault against Islam and its people. So, I am not too surprised with the Times Online piece trying to raise storm over some 13th century text that are taught at a Shi’ite religious school in London. The subject in question is najasa or impurity: what makes something impure according to Muhaqqiq al-Hilli, a 13th century Shi’ite scholar. The text says, "The water left over in the container after any type of animal has drunk from it is considered clean and pure apart from the left over of a dog, a pig, and a disbeliever." So, the Times reporter Sean O’Connell draws the conclusion that Muslim students are "being taught to despise unbelievers as filth", which becomes the news heading, sure to draw much publicity in UK before the election in May. - [Leadership Qualities of Prophet Muhammad](https://bismikaallahuma.org/muhammad/leadership-qualities/): In Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of God be upon him), Allah had an uswatun hasana ("the most beautiful pattern of conduct", Surah Al Ahzab, 33:21). There are numerous Quranic verses exhorting Muslims to emulate this exemplar of a human being. Exhortations from the Holy Book aside, a man whose teachings are being followed by one in five people on this planet deserves attention. - [Christians Killed Apostates Too](https://bismikaallahuma.org/op-ed/christians-killed-apostates-too/): The saga of Abdul Rehman's conversion to Christianity may be over but the aftermath is far from settled. Like a clockwork of hate, the episode has brought upon yet another wave of criticisms against Islam and its record for religious tolerance. But what few would realise is that the West has a history of religious intolerance and persecutions that would put Muslim Afghanistan to shame. - [The True, Peaceful Face Of Islam](https://bismikaallahuma.org/history/the-true-peaceful-face-of-islam/): There are 1.2 billion Muslims in the world, and Islam is the world's fastest-growing religion. If the evil carnage we witnessed on Sept. 11 were typical of the faith, and Islam truly inspired and justified such violence, its growth and the increasing presence of Muslims in both Europe and the U.S. would be a terrifying prospect. Fortunately, this is not the case. - [Islam and Co-Existence](https://bismikaallahuma.org/op-ed/islam-and-co-existence/): The Interfaith Coalition of Nashville organized this year's interfaith conference in the Vanderbilt University, Nashville, USA. Judaism was represented by Dr. Donna Whitney, Christianity by Dr. Tom Davis, Hinduism by Dr. Howard J. Resnick (HD Goswami), and Buddhism by Professor Win Myint. Dr. Habib Siddiqui represented Islam. This is the transcript of his speech on Islam. The conference was opened by Dr. Jawaid Ahsan. Dr. Charles Hembrick, Professor Emeritus of Religion at Vanderbilt University, moderated the conference. - [Racism and Slavery in the Bible](https://bismikaallahuma.org/christianity/racism-and-slavery-in-the-bible/): In studying various topics about Christianity and Islam over the years I will never forget an article I came across on the topic of racism. It was called: "Children of a White God" and the author was Matthew C. Ogilvie. I remembered that the majority of slavery in the United States had been justified by Christians in the past, but certainly, I thought, this was over. I thought this was just the ignorance of poorly educated Christians of old. But as I read the words in this mans essay, I began to realize that indeed, there were several Christian sects who taught racist theologies to this day, and such theologies resulted in countless acts of terrorism in the world. - [The Communicator: The Dialogue at Its Best](https://bismikaallahuma.org/christianity/the-communicator-the-dialogue-at-its-best/): During his years at McGill, Dr. Ismail al-Faruqi?s talent as a disputant was recognized by his peers. His ability to pursue the opponent?s argument to its logical conclusion was augmented by his mastery of the rhetoric. The way he conducted himself during his encounters with people of other faiths can be seen in the following excerpt from his dialogue with Bishop Kenneth Cragg and Father Michael Fitzgerald at Chembesy on June 26, 1976. - [Religious Scripture and Science, Conflict or Conciliation? A Muslim Perspective](https://bismikaallahuma.org/quran/religious-scripture-and-science-conflict-or-conciliation-a-muslim-perspective/): Transcript of speech at Interfaith Dialogue 4, organised by MMU Melaka - [Is The Trinitarian Ontology Coherent?](https://bismikaallahuma.org/christianity/trinitarian-ontology-coherent/): Philosophical theism, in contemporary times, has been dominated by philosophers who are Christians. These theistic philosophers have published a great amount of literature defending the rationality of belief in God, and any participant in the great debate will surely be familiar with the names of intellectual giants like Alvin Plantinga, Richard Swinburne, William Lane Craig, among many others. Swinburne, for example, gives theistic belief, and in particular Christian belief, philosophical treatment in toto. I have noticed the following progression in his case for Christianity. First, he argues that the notion of 'God-talk' is perfectly coherent, and there are no a priori reasons to reject theistic belief. Next, he argues on cumulative grounds that natural theology renders the existence of God more probable than not. Finally, Swinburne articulates various arguments for Christian particularism, e.g. reasons to believe in the Christian Revelation, the Resurrection of Christ, etc. He therefore epitomizes the classic Lockean evidentialist, who is prepared to give rational reasons for all his beliefs. - [The Destiny Of Israel: Review Of “Jerusalem in the Qur’an”](https://bismikaallahuma.org/book-reviews/destiny-israel-review-jerusalem-quran/): We must realize that something horrible is in store for the world in which starving half a million children to death is a valid price but calling Israel an illegitimate and racist state has become the most serious crime. Many would agree with the statement that it is highly unlikely that the Israeli oppression and unaccountability can continue for another 50 years before it faces the horrible consequences. But many would be surprised to know that it is matter of a few more years before Israel overtakes the US as a Ruling State, just as the US replaced England as a Ruling State at the end of World War I. Those of us who find this observation strange may not realize that we are passing through very strange times. Indications of the coming times are right before our eyes, for example in finding one set of people not allowed to simply cover their head for it undermines secular values. Whereas another people are free to occupy land, subjugate native people, indiscriminate kill and expel those who do not share the same race, and engage in ethnic cleansing on the grounds of their distorted scriptures. - [Ahad(un) and the Missionary’s Folly](https://bismikaallahuma.org/quran/ahadun/): Recently we were introduced to a new, amusing polemic by the missionaries, namely with regard to the word "ahad(un)". To achieve this end, the missionaries cite an online text from a Christian Arab polemicist who claims that the word does not mean "one", but "one of". Is it true what they claim? We seek to answer this allegation in the following, insha'allah. - [Danish Cartoons — Islam vs. Freedom of Expression?](https://bismikaallahuma.org/op-ed/danish-cartoons-islam-vs-freedom-of-expression/): Cartoons are doing what so many could not: Unifying Muslims across the globe. - [Some Thoughts On The Abhorable Cartoons Of Prophet Muhammad](https://bismikaallahuma.org/op-ed/abhorable-cartoons-prophet-thoughts/): We all have read about the present state of affairs concerning the Muhammad cartoons controversy and the demented newspapers of the European countires who in the so-called freedom of their press and freedom of expression chose to publish insulting cartoons depicting their screwed up imaginations of the personality of The Holiest of Allah's Prophets and Messengers, the Blessed Muhammad al-Mustafa, salla Allahu alayhi wasallam. - [A Reasoning To Refute the Logic of Trinity](https://bismikaallahuma.org/christianity/logic-of-trinity/): In this paper I attempt to present an argument disputing and refuting the Christian Belief in the Trinity of God. We believe this ill concept was inserted into Christian belief by the devil at a time of absence of mind and a state of powerlessness on the part of true unitarians and sincere believers in the One God. To this day, followers of this belief are faithful to the evil that founded it and we are aware that there is little or no benefit in attempting to argue them out of this line of thought. However, we are like that who is describing the sorry state of a lost and misguided person to people so that others may take example and lesson from it. And Allah shall guide whom He chooses to the right path. - [Was The Ottomon Caliphate Responsible for the “Armenian Genocide”?](https://bismikaallahuma.org/history/was-the-ottomon-caliphate-responsible-for-the-armenian-genocide/): The Orientalists and Christian missionaries have been parroting for some time the farcical notion that the Ottomon Caliphate was responsible for what is now known as the "Armenian Genocide" of the early 1900's. We present here some history behind the incident that disproves the idea that the Ottoman Caliphate had anything to do with the Armenian Genocide. This was a time period in which the Young Turks were ruling Turkey and had worked towards secularizing Turkey. They themselves were of a heterodox Jewish background of the Donme cult of the false Messiah, Tzabbatai Tzveh of Salonica. - [The Real History of the Crusades](https://bismikaallahuma.org/christianity/real-history-of-crusades/): The historical distortion perpetrated on historical thinking by Thomas F. Madden is not a new fallacious concept introduced by contemporary Christian revisionists but has been prevalent since the emergence of Islam on world stage. For many centuries, the Christian historians and orientalists directly promulgated lies and fabrications about Islam in order to instil prejudice against the Muslims. And yet in the modern age, Christian fundamentalist historians still continue to carry the flag and propagate indirectly their revisionist theories regarding Islam. - [Islam and the False Allegations of Atrocities](https://bismikaallahuma.org/muhammad/allegations-of-atrocities/): European criticism seems to have lost its sense of justice in dealing with the Prophet(P). All the rates of that criticism seem to be subject to the one consideration that whatever is unfavourable and damaging to the Prophet's reputation must be accepted as true. For example, Answering Islam, a website which is full of lies and deception follows in this tradition as per the methods of their satanic apostle from Tarsus by collecting a series of so-called "assassination" orders.
